About indielist
indielist maps the indie game ecosystem as a graph: studios ↔ publishers ↔ games ↔ funding. It's a search engine for the relationships, not just the entities.
What makes it different
- Relationship graph — every studio is connected to publishers, partners, and funding events. Most directories give you a row in a table.
- White-box sales estimates — every estimate ships with the formula that produced it (Boxleiter-derived, with year / price / studio-size adjustments). Never a single black-box number.
- AI-Overview defensible — every core page embeds at least one interactive element a search summary can't replace.
Who it's for
- Players — discover the next game, see how studios are connected.
- Indie developers — research publishers, compare submission paths.
- Investors and scouts — track funding, M&A, and rising studios.
Status
We're in early implementation. The data covers a curated seed (a few hundred entities) and grows on a schedule limited by the rate caps we've committed to with our data sources. A more detailed methodology page is on the way.
